Mr. McGehee is one of the world’s foremost authorities on ocean wave measurement. Highlights include:           

•  Captured the only nearshore wave data during the peak conditions of both Hurricane Ivan and Hurricane Katrina.
   

•  Managed the US Army COE Field Wave Gaging Program, the world’s largest network of real-time ocean observation platforms, for 12 years

•  Produced the COE’s Wave Data Analysis Standard and Wave Climate Analysis Standard

•  Managed the University of Florida’s Coastal Data Network, a statewide network of wave and hurricane surge gages, for 8 years.

•  Published at least 60 reports, articles and papers on wave measurement and analysis. See Publication List
